ARTIST BIO/STATEMENT:

Pauline Pimolle enjoys different styles, such as alternative processes or digital. She mostly focuses on self-portraiture—especially since the pandemic. Still, life is an interest to her. Pauline is influenced by art history and painters. One of her favorite artists is Frida Kahlo.

“I admire Frida and how she expresses her emotions through self-portrait. Le Pardon is French for forgiveness. This piece reflects how I free myself. Deeply creating photos without hesitating. I used to be in control of every detail because I would want to please other people.”
